Songsters share their Music and Message in Eastbourne

07.05.2017

Our Songsters (Senior Choir) travelled to Eastbourne on April 29/30th for a weekend of Music and Mission at the Salvation Army.

It is quite a journey from Birmingham but the Songsters arrived on time and in good spirits and started the weekend with a little bit of free time which allowed a quick paddle in the sea for some brave souls. The less brave settled for an ice cream.

Eastbourne Salvation Army looked after the group extremely well all weekend, working very hard, and the quality of the food provided was outstanding. So, after being well fed and feeling very welcome, the Songsters started their work at Eastbourne with a concert on Saturday evening. The large audience were provided with a feast of music and songs and individual solos throughout the evening.

On Sunday the Songsters led Morning Worship and then shared lunch together before a march to The Pier where another  mini concert was provided accompanied by the sea crashing against the pier and beach below.

Following a short break there was a Praise meeting with many more songs and words to help encourage us all in our Christian lives.

They were well cared for, and we pray that their visit to Eastbourne will have been an encouragement to that Corps. Our own Songsters were blessed by the welcome and reactions from the folk at Eastbourne too.

here are some video clips from the weekend
