Driving to and Parking at Birmingham Citadel

There is a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) in operation which covers the area inside Birmingham’s City Centre Ring Road, the charge is £8 per day . Our Building is inside the CAZ. Most modern vehicles are compliant and will not have to pay, but if you are unsure if your vehicle is compliant please check here https://www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones

The postal address is 24, St Chads Queensway, Birmingham B4 6HH. This address is on a busy dual carriageway where there is no parking or drop off unless you have a disabled blue badge. This is also the border between City Centre parking and Outer Area Parking. If you park inside the City Centre area, the charges are currently £3.50 per  hour.
Google Maps SatNavs will direct you to Little Shadwell St using the postcode B4 6HH.
Other SatNavs will direct you to Little Shadwell St using the postcode B4 6HG.
To park safely please head to Little Shadwell Street and Bath Street.
On Street Parking Bays are marked all around this area, and we are inside a controlled zone where payment is required between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Saturday. Bay parking is free on Sunday.
You can ONLY park on a SINGLE YELLOW LINE between 18:00 – 08:00 7 DAYS A WEEK.
There is a surface car park on Bath Street. This privately owned car park is payable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We apologise that we cannot do anything about the state of the carpark and please also be advised that the ticket machine is often not working, so be prepared to pay by phone or online.
Here is a list of streets where parking bays are available within walking distance:
Little Shadwell St, Bath St, Loveday St, Princip St, Vesey St, Price St.
There is a secure parking car park accessed from Weaman St, Birmingham B4 6DG. www.b4parking.com This is a 5 minute walk from the Hall. If you sign up for free online before going to this car park then you benefit from discounted parking fees.
Once again we wish to remind you that single Yellow Line parking is vociferously enforced by Birmingham City Council Parking Wardens, even on Sunday, so parking on these lines before 18:00 will risk a Penalty Charge being attached to your car.
We hope and pray that this note will help you find safe parking when you visit Birmingham Citadel and not spoil your experience by receiving a parking ticket due to not being aware of the parking rules enforced around our building.

By Train/Tram
There are three main train stations in the City Centre, New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill. Our building is a 10-15 minute walk from all of these stations. You can take the Tram to St Chads stop which is a short walk from the Hall. The Tram (Metro) runs from Wolverhampton via the City Centre to Five Ways.

Bus
The City Centre Bus services drop off passengers all around the City Centre, so depending on where the bus stop is situated means anything from 5 – 15 minutes to walk to our Building.
