Insight into the work of City Pastors

05.03.2013

City pastors Jo & Mark Jowlet – who work in the Broad Street and South Side areas of Birmingham city centre – gave an insightful presentation on Sunday on the work of their team who offer support every Friday and Saturday night to those enjoying the party districts of Birmingham.

City Pastors is an initiative involving volunteers from local churches in Birmingham working in partnership with the Broad Street Business Improvement District to ensure that Broad Street is a safe, vibrant environment for everyone who visits.

City Pastors provide an essential pastoral bridge between the street wardens, business owners, door staff, Police, taxi marshals and the general public and help clubbers, diners concert go-ers, homeless people, tourists and anyone else encountered on the street.

The presentation is part of a series of features running throughout the year showing the work of the Church in and around Birmingham.
