Katy passes her first Brass milestone

At Birmingham Citadel we are so fortunate to have a large multi age congregation. For a number of years we have been giving music lessons to any of our children who wish to learn under a scheme designed by Keith Watts, the children are taught by a number of adults in the church. There are a series of graded standards to aim for and 7 year old Katy has reached the Elementary standard.

Usually she would be presented with a certificate of recognition during one of our church services but as that isn’t possible at the moment, Katy has recorded a video of one of the pieces she had to play to pass her Elementary course.

The Leader of our Young People’s Band, Rob Hayward, said “Well done to Katy on passing the Elementary Course with Distinction! Here she is with a super performance of The Saints”
