Farewell weekend for our Commanding Officers 18/19 June 2016

Over 230 members of Birmingham Citadel plus Steve and Mandy’s family joined together on Saturday evening for an evening of fun, games, food, live music and dancing to commence the farewell weekend our commanding officers.
Majors Steve and Mandy White are moving to new appointments as Division Leaders for the Devon and Cornwall Division.
They have been part of the Birmingham Citadel family for 12 years first as soldiers on a West Midlands DHQ appointment and then for the last 5 years as our Commanding Officers.
On Sunday morning Mandy and Steve spoke to the congregation and reassured everyone that Jesus will always be with them, and to keep doing the good work that has been undertaken by everyone over the last 5 years.
During the evening meeting in front of another packed congregation the Corps said goodbye to the Majors with both children and adults having opportunity to say Thank You and give some gifts.

Mandy and Steve have had a profound effect on Birmingham Citadel and they will be missed. They move on with our love and prayers and Thanks.
The next chapter of Birmingham Citadel will soon be written as Major Adrian and Captain Clare Allman take up their new appointments as Commanding Officers of Birmingham Citadel in July 2016.
