How you can help us at Christmas

17.11.2019

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” says the well known Christmas song and yet for many who are struggling to ‘make ends meet’ this is not the case. This year, our work during the Christmas season will be as busy as ever despite the circumstances we all find ourselves in and we will continue to help families and individuals right across the festive period.

In 2019, we were able to provide new toys for over a 1000 children and food parcels for 500 disadvantaged families and individuals in and around Birmingham. We also provided new gifts and new toys to our local NHS for adults and children who were in hospital over the Christmas period.

We can only do this work with the help of others and the generosity of people who take the time to give to The Salvation Army never ceases to amaze us. This year, we will be doing our very best to make Christmas better for others in our city. Please help us to make it a wonderful time of the year for them.

Please note we can only accept new and unopened toys or online donations.

This year, we are also including a ‘Be a Star’ method of fundraising. If you have a Christmas tree in your office or business, using the attached stars, donors can write a Christmas message on the stars that you print and cut out; they make a donation to The Salvation Army and then can hang the star ‘tag’ on your office tree.

There are lots of other ways to be creative and collect gifts or raise money for our Christmas Appeal and so we include different posters and images you can use for your own advertising.
